Selling a product on Privategriffe it’s easy. Please find here the answers to your questions and become one of our sellers!

Who can sell on Privategriffe?
On Privategriffe vendors, citizen and professionals (store) can sell products. If you are a professional seller, please send an e-mail to negozi@privategriffe.com in order to receive further information on procedures.

How can I create an account on Privategriffe?
Click on “Register” to create your personal account and insert your e-mail address and password. Once you’ve registered you will receive and e-mail to confirm your account.

Do I have to pay to create my account?
No, the account registration is totally free.

I lost/forgot my password, how can I retrieve it?
Click on “Forgot your password?” and put your registration e-mail address, you will receive an e-mail with all the instructions to reset your password.

Do I have to pay to upload a product on Privategriffe?
No, product ads are totally free of charge.

How long could my ad stay online?
Your product ad will stay online without any additional charge until someone buys it or you decide to remove it from sale.

Which type of product can I sell?
The PRIVATE Seller can put on sale through our website exclusively his/her own second hand clothes, shoes, accessories for man, woman and children.
The PROFESSIONAL Seller can sell second hand clothes, shoes, accessories for man, woman and children of his/her exclusive property or that he/she is authorized to sell. Products must be second hand o never been used, marketable, authentic, legal and original, vintage, in good conditions, high quality and clean.

Which type of products can’t I sell?
The Seller cannot sell on the website: products that are prohibited by law (stolen and faked products or from illicit origin), underwear, swimsuit, raddled or dirty items which have already been rejected by Privategriffe and don’t meet our standards.

Can I upload a product whose brand is not in your archives?
You can upload products that not indicated in the ad hoc section, Privategriffe will then decide to accept them or not.

How can I insert a comment?
To insert a comment under a product you need to login into your account.

How can I set a selling price for a product?
The price for each product is decided by the seller. In order to sell your product fast, we suggest you to set a fair and attractive price: please evaluate the condition of your item honestly and make a price comparison with similar product prices on Privategriffe.

How should the product picture be taken?
Your product shooting process is a crucial step of your ad. Pictures should take your product in actual conditions, they should not be blurry or too small. It is preferable to have a white background, exposed to natural light, without using flash or backlight. Try to picture the item faults as well, showing the entire product from every corner. To take better pictures we suggest you to follow the instructions during the loading process of the product. We will not accept pictures taken from the Internet.

What is the Control Option?
As per the Control Option, Privategriffe has to manage pre and post sell activities (specified on Privategriffe Services), pick up and transfer from Seller to our Offices for product checkup and final delivery to the Buyer. The shipment will be customized, Privategriffe will verify the product return and withdrawal if necessary, and provide possible moderation. This service will be chosen by the Seller or the Buyer as an extra paid option on the website where not included. The price for this service is indicated in the Control Option paragraph.

How can a retrieve my drafts?
Login into your personal and click on the round icon of your profile. A grey window will open and you should click on “Profile” and then on “Products” and finally on “On Draft”.

How can I modify a “product on approval”?
Login into your personal account and click on the round icon on the upper-right corner of your profile. A grey window will open so click on “Profile”, then on “Products” and finally on “On Approval”. Here you will find products that are waiting to be approved. By clicking the correct one, or the one Privategriffe requested you to modify, you will access the product description that you will adjust by clicking “Modify”. Please use this procedure when the Product Team sends you an e-mail request, do not reload a new product form, The Product Team will notice that immediately and your product will be uploaded as soon as possible.

How long does it take to see my ad online?
Our Product Team will check your product form after you upload a product. The graphic design Team could remove your first picture background to show your product better. You will be notified by e-mail when your product is online.

For which products could I ask for the Control Option?
You could ask the Control Option for all those products which cost more than 40 euro.
For products like bags, jewels and accessories that cost 200 euro or more this option is included in the amount.

What advantages has the Seller in requesting the Control Option?
If you choose the Control Option by Privategriffe, the product will be checked before shipping it and will then be delivered to the Buyer with the checkup mark and its price tag.
If the Buyer returns the item, Privategriffe will verify that the Product is the same as delivered and it has not been damaged, used, cleaned and complete of all its accessories (authenticity certificate as well), that it is inside its original box with all its labels, tags and security seal.

How much the Control Option costs and how will I pay it?
The price for this service is indicated into the paragraph concerning the Control Option and will be deducted from Seller’s payment due at transaction concluded.

What happens after Control Option positive or negative feedback?
All products requiring the Control Option by Provategriffe will be transferred to Privategriffe offices.
If you get a positive feedback after checkup, Privategriffe will deliver the Product to the Buyer.
If you get a negative feedback, due to a compliance gap in the product form, Privategriffe will return the entire amount to the Seller or will try to promote a new negotiation between Seller and Buyer.
If there is no new agreement, Privategriffe will return the entire amount to the Buyer.
The product will be returned to the Seller with cash on delivery with a 20,00 euro (VAT included) additional charge.

How do I know if my product has been bought?
When someone buys one of your products you will receive a notification to your registered e-mail address. In the e-mail you will find a link to confirm your data and your address for the product courier pickup. Once you confirm the pickup we will send you two e-mails, one with instructions and one from TNT containing the label you must print and attach on the parcel. All changes should be arranged with our Customer Service by calling the phone number 02.84259890 or by writing an e-mail to help@privategriffe.com

How should I deliver my product to the courier?
You must deliver the product inside a strong box to protect it. The item should be provided with its box, dust bag or other accessories, if you declared them into your description form. Make sure you parcel is well closed and put the courier label on it.

When is the pickup?
The Courier could pass by from 9:00 am to 18:00 pm Monday to Friday without any notice.

I sold a product, when will the amount be deposited?
The payment will be released by Privategriffe via bank transfer only the 15th or 30th day of the current or next month, depending on the date in which the product has been delivered to the buyer. Any possible delay on the amount deposit could be determined by the bank activities needed to transfer the sum.

How can I remove a product from sale?
Login into your personal account and click on the “Products” link, go to “On Sale” section, click on “Remove” next to the product you want to delete. The product will be removed.

How can I remove all my products from sale?
To remove all your products from sale on the website we invite you to login into your personal account, click on the right icon on the upper-right corner of the page. Click on “Profile” and then “General Data”. At the bottom of the page you will find the entry “Remove all products from sale”. Your products will be automatically removed from sale, those uploaded but not yet published will be rejected and your saved drafts will be deleted.

How can I low the price of a product?
Login into your personal account and click on the “Products” link, go to the section “On Sale”. Click on “Low a price” next to the product you want to mark down. Go on and put the price you want to apply, the amount you will receive from the sale will be automatically calculated.

How can I send additional pictures of my product to an interested user?
We kindly ask you to send requested pictures to prodotto@privategriffe.com specifying your nickname, product ID (identification code number) and the user nickname of who requested the pictures. Our Team will send the pictures to the interested user as soon as possible.

How can I modify my nickname?
We kindly ask you to send an e-mail to help@privategriffe.com indicating your request. Our team will modify it immediately as per your request.

How can I delete my account from the website?
To delete your profile from the website we suggest you to login into your personal account and click on the round icon on the upper-right corner of the page. Click on “Profile” and then “General Data”. At the bottom of the page you will find “Delete my profile”. All your products now on sale will be automatically removed, those uploaded but not yet published will be rejected, your saved drafts will be deleted and your profile cancelled.

How can I create an account on Privategriffe?
To create an account, click on “Register” and insert your e-mail address and password. Once you registered you will receive a confirmation e-mail.

Do I have to pay to create my account?
No, the account registration is totally free.

How can I write a comment?
To add a comment, ask for a price reduction or more pictures of a product you need to login into your account.

Which payment methods can I use to make my order?
You can make an order by using your credit card, PayPal, Postepay or bank transfer or via Sofort system as paying methods.

How payment by bank transfer works?
Login into your personal account, add products you want to buy to the chart and choose bank transfer as paying method. Once your order has been processed, we will send you a confirmation e-mail where you will find Privategriffe bank details. You have two days of time to make your bank transfer after which the product will be put on sale again.

How much the shipping costs?
The shipping on national territory (Italy) costs 8 euro (at the expense of the buyer) in addition to the price of your order. If you order multiple products the shipping costs will be 8 euro in total, it will not be applied to every single product. For shipping outside Italy, the price varies according to the destination country and does not take into account possible import taxes, which will always be charged to the buyer. The exact amount of international shipping charges will be shown on the system once you add the address.

Are items on sale always available?
Items on sale are property of the sellers. They decide if their product are available or not. If you buy a product that is no longer available, you will receive a notification e-mail and the sale will be cancelled. Our personnel will refund you the total amount with the same payment method you used for the order.

When will I receive a confirmation on the product availability I ordered?
The Seller has 72 hours to confirm the availability of the item; after this period of time the order will be cancelled and the buyer will be refunded.

When will I receive my order?
If the product you choose is protected by Privategriffe Control Option, the item will be delivered to the Buyer within 5 working days (bank holiday excepted and other delays not due to Privategriffe) from the date in which product checkup or new agreement ended positively. The courier will inform the Buyer of shipping details. If the product is not subjected to Privategriffe Control Option, it will be transferred from seller to buyer directly without any control within 5 working days (bank holiday excepted and other delays not due to Privategriffe) after e-mail confirmation sent upon product pickup by the courier. The Buyer will be informed of shipping details with an e-mail sent by the courier.

How do I monitor my order?
Login in to your personal account and click on the round icon on the upper-right corner of your profile. Click on “Profile” and then on “Purchases” and finally on “Orders”.

How can I have further pictures of a product?
Login into your personal account, open the product page you desire and write a message to the seller in the comment section to ask for more pictures. The seller will send extra pictures to Privategriffe and our Team will send them back to you on your registered e-mail address.

How can I add a coupon code?
Login into your personal account, add the product(s) you want to buy to the chart and then click on “Buy”. You will see a recap of your order, click on “Continue”. You will be required to provide a shipping address. Once all fields have been filled, click on “Continue” and you will be asked to put your coupon code and the discount will be calculated automatically.

What is the Control Option?
As per the Control Option, Privategriffe has to manage pre and post sell activities (specified on Privategriffe Services), pick up and transfer from Seller to our Offices for product checkup and final delivery to the Buyer. For which products could I ask for the Control Option?
You could ask the Control Option as added service by Privategriffe fot products like clothes, shoes, bags, jewels and accessories that cost less than 200 euro. The Control Option is included for bags, accessories, jewels of 200 euro or higher.

What is the advantage for the Buyer of asking for the Control Option?
If you choose the Control Option by Privategriffe, the item will be checked by and expert team and will be delivered with a personalized packaging. This service could be selected as a paid extra option on the website from seller or buyer, where not included yet.

How much the Control Options costs and how can I pay it?
The price for this service is indicated in the Control Option paragraph.

What happens after Control Option positive or negative feedback?
All products requiring the Control Option by Provategriffe will be transferred to Privategriffe offices.
If you get a positive feedback after checkup, Privategriffe will deliver the Product to the Buyer.
If you get a negative feedback, due to a compliance gap in the product form, Privategriffe will return the entire amount to the Seller or will try to promote a new negotiation between Seller and Buyer.
If there is no new agreement, Privategriffe will return the entire amount to the Buyer.

Can I return a product?
Yes, the Buyer can return a product bought by a private seller within 3 working day from the delivery date.

How the product return works?
The Buyer must send an e-mail to return@privategriffe.com indicating:
1. His/her nickname
2. Product and order number
3. Product brand and model
4. Return reason
Privategriffe will be responsible to organize the return shipping according to buyer’s requests.

How the item return works with or without the Control Option?
If the Buyer returns the item, Privategriffe will verify that the Product is the same as delivered and it has not been damaged, used, cleaned and complete of all its accessories (authenticity certificate as well), that it is inside its original box with all its labels, tags and security seal.
In all return cases in which the Products have not been checked by Privategriffe Control Option before, required by the Seller or the Buyer, all product issues will not be managed by Privategriffe.

How can I change my nickname?
We kindly ask you to send an e-mail with your request to help@privategriffe.com. Our Team will deal with your request as soon as possible.

How can I delete my account from the website?
To delete your profile from the website we suggest you to login into your personal account and click on the round icon on the upper-right corner of the page. Click on “Profile” and then “General Data”. At the bottom of the page you will find “Delete my profile”. All your products now on sale will be automatically removed, those uploaded but not yet published will be rejected, your saved drafts will be deleted and your profile cancelled.
